- Canberra Autonomous Car Simulation
Canberra is a small, low density city. Traditional public transport is ineffective and
expensive. A fleet of autonomous electric vehicles could provide a better service, much
cheaper, whilst meeting the Government's goals of reducing traffic congestion, pollution and
dependency on private cars, and increasing mobility. This simulation models daily traffic flows
in Canberra, showing the different outcomes of running a fleet of autonomous electric
vehicles given a variety of settings from vehicle capital and operational cost to
the level of community uptake.
